Step Into Saturday

Late last fall I decided I wanted to learn how to do a "step in", or "step ON", grind so I began by placing my board in a 50/50 and running up and jumping on it and propelling myself into a frontside grind. Through much trial and error I found that it was best to smash my front foot down on the bolts while pushing off into the grind with my back foot. This technique provides me with more stability and allows me to get my foot square on the tail after pushing off, making it easier to get off of the curb at the end of the grind. The five pictures above are separate shots that I put together sequentially to show you where I'm coming from. Or going. Stay goofy and dork out.
