Great Full.

Thanksgiving. The giving of thanks for that which we are grateful for. Gratitude is due to my wife for her patience with me because if I'm not skating then I am sitting in front of this lap top networking with skaters across the United States and furthur. Gratitude is due to my friends on 4 (or sometimes 8) urethane wheels and maple stuntwood. I met a lot of skaters this summer by frequenting the local skatepark and was able to capture some pretty decent images of skateboarding in West Virginia thanks to you guys. Gratitude is due to the vets of the scene. I've known some of you guys as long as I have been on board. Thank you for skating. This year take time to be grateful not great, full. Give thanks for what you have and don't worry about what you don't have. See you guys at the skatepark.

Sunday Skate Pics 2 An Old Dirty Sequence

Grom shot this one for me and I am STOKED on how it turned out. The OLD DIRTY WALLRIDE SPOT as photographed by my son on 11-11-2007. WORD to the DIRTY.

Sunday Skate Pics 1

The first three pics today are Grom in a backside grind looking like a Mini Me, a No Skateboarding sign at one of the city's best bank spots, and last but never least is our friend Scotty busting a frontside ollie wallride. The crazy thing is that he does a 180 out of the wallride. INSANE.

New Fatty Wheels On The Market

Marc sent me pics of these new Rock and Rollers budget series wheels and they look rad. Available in Pink (the new Black) and Green and measuring 60mm these are a taller and faster wheel ideal for all terrains if you like your wheels big.

Portland Skate Pics

These pics courtesy of Stephen Slappe and friends during their recent session at Glenhaven. Why would I not want to live in Portland? I can't think of any reason.

Skateboard Films Need A Venue

We are currently working to bring this film presentation to the Charleston area in May or June. A venue is needed and we prefer a theatre setting but an alternate venue will do. This is a rad ass show of 16mm films put together by Stephen Slappe of Portland, Oregon and would be an asset to both the art and skateboarding communities of our fair city, Charleston. Don't scoff. Do some homework. Check out Mark Gonzales. Skateboarding and art are one in the same in many aspects. Charleston could really use a little more positive culture so let's work together and bring this show to town.

Wednesday Morning at Coonskin

With temperatures in the low to mid 40's it's time to break out the hoody and maybe some gloves. The pile of leaves at the corner of the ledge are a sign of the season for sure. All pics shot on a 10 second timer DIY stylee holmes. Enjoy.

Sunday Skate Video

The Old Dirty Wallride Spot is a gnarly place full of pea sized gravel, broken glass, vagrants, and occasionally their fecal matter. It's a hard ride but is sure is fun.

Sunday Skate Pics

Today's pics are all DIY shot with a 10 second timer. The boneless pics are not a sequence but are actually 3 different shots that flowed well so there you go. It wouldn't be Sunday without a curb slap would it? Thanks for looking.

Marc's Board Shop Grand Reopening

It was all asses and elbows and moms and groms at the Capitol Flea Market today. Marc held his Grand Reopening Party from noon to one and the turnout was insane. Emily and I stood outside and watched an old Powell video while kids bought gear and mingled inside munching on free chili dogs and swilling cold sodas. Typical of Saturday at the Market a bluegrass band was pickin' up a storm by the snack bar. Thank you Marc for this event and for bringing affordable kits to the kids who need them. Not everyone here in the Third World State of West Virginia can afford to throw down $65 for a pro deck at the sporting goods store every few weeks and Marc is here to provide quality pro decks at affordable prices. Two lucky kids walked away with new completes and there were shirts, stickers, mags, and more given away. Emily even won some curb wax. Rad. Thanks again Marc and Marc's Board Shop! "Still Your Best Deal".

Another Friday at Coonskin

Good times were the order of the day at the park with about a half dozen skaters riding the ramps and hitting up the stairs and ledges. Today's pics are MONGO in the midst of a flip trick followed by Coon's RoastBeef spine transfer. Next is Coon's pic of my fully extended frontside boneless followed by Morgan going high karate off of the ledge and last but never least is our boy Andrew busting a flip trick off of the ledge. Thanks for looking.
