Ahh, Labor Day Weekend. We celebrate "labor" by not working. The city streets were congested at 9:30 this morning with human traffic from the distance run, with police attempting to direct traffic (both human and vehicular), and with parade gawkers lining the streets in folding chairs. I managed to weave my way around all of this and escape from a high school class mate who was drunk on the corner before 10:00 A.M. Wow. I was going to give him my spare change but I don't want to be an enabler. I'm sure he was pissed as I drove away but it was for the good of Humanity.
