The no-comply is a weird trick for sure. I've seen footage of Lance Mountain and others doing this trick in the mid 1980's. Neil Blender was drawing cartoons of skaters doing no complys over parking curbs in 1984. It took me a good 8 weeks to learn to grab the board by the nose but I got it. It (the grab) really helps with control and makes landing this sketchy trick much easier.
“I don’t want to see a Frito’s commercial with a skateboarder on it. It’s not in the spirit of skateboarding. We’re not supposed to be in the limelight. We’re supposed to be the scuttlebutt. We’re not supposed to be heroes. We’re supposed to be zeroes. If we look good, we look bad.”

"I don't care what people say about me. I'm just out there having fun..."
