No Comply
You know the story. Neil Blender invented this trick and it appears in skate videos from as early as 1985 but really caught on when it was featured in Thrasher Magazine's "Trick Tips" with Natas Kaupas demonstrating it step by step. 20 years after I learned this trick I can still pop 'em. Bert Slide on Gumballs
Busting a backside Bert slide on 76mm 81a ABEC 11 Gumballs. These are some really BIG wheels made for slalom racing and cruising but are fun to try and slide too.

More Have You Seen Him
My friend STIBROKER from Texas sent me this pic of Steve Caballero at the opening of the Houston Skate Park on June 1st sporting his "Have You Seen Him" shirt emblazoned with the image of my favorite grouch on four wheels Mr. Steve Olson.

Best Tee Shirt I've Seen This Year
Satori/Creation team rider Ron Allen circa 1989.
Have You Seen H.I.M.
Satori is at the forefront of the "eco" movement in the skateboarding industry. Their take on the Animal Chin "Have You Seen Him" logo is one of the best tee shirts I've seen this year. Satori is "Your online source for skateboards, bamboo, hemp, organic, recycled, soy, music, and culture goods."

Check Out Mark Conahan's Photos
Illustration of frustration by Mark Conahan.
If you are a regular reader of Hopeless Old Men On Skateboards over at Antigravity Press then you may have noticed the site has been "unavailable" as of late. Until the comics are back up and running you should check out some of Mark's photos at the Antigravity Press Remote Site. MC and his pics are worth a look.
